Choosing the polymer system, the additives and the compatibilisers that hold the specification together — and proving the compound survives the shear, heat and residence time of a real extruder.
A formulation is
a set of trade-offs
made on purpose
Every property you add costs another. Barrier against sealability, stiffness against toughness, cost against shelf life. We fix the targets first so the trade-offs are chosen rather than discovered at the end of a trial run.

Polymer system selection
Base resin and blend chosen against the property targets, the contact class and what is actually procurable at volume.

Additive and compatibiliser design
Plasticisers, compatibilisers and process aids specified together, because in a blend they do not act independently.

Compound development
Twin-screw compounding in our own lab, iterated until the compound holds its properties through the thermal and shear history the line imposes.

Batch consistency
Property spread measured batch to batch, so the material behaves the same on the fiftieth run as on the first.
Where it is applied
A compound is only finished when it survives the process, not when it passes the datasheet.
